Summer is in full swing and everybody wants to look their best without putting up much of a fuss this season. With so many different beauty trends out there, we’ll try put together the ultimate 5-minute summer makeup look makeup look. It’s so simple that even the most reclutant ones will want to try it.
The summer eye look
I always prefer starting with the eyes because a lot of the mess that comes with applying makeup happens there. If you do them first, it’s easier to fix the mess without creating more on your face and having to start all over again.
There’s two ways to prime your eyes: the primer or concealer with setting powder. Go for the first option if your skin is oily, and you can go for the second one if your skin is more on the dry side.
Apply a brown eyeshadow into your crease only to just highlight it. This will be on the cooler or warmer side depending on your undertone. If you are warm toned, you can also use a bronzer instead.

Then apply a good two or three coats of mascara. To make your lashes look longer, apply some setting powder on your lashes and apply a layer of mascara on top. You should be able to see the difference.
If you like, then you can also apply a bit of highlighter in your inner corner to just open the eye a bit more and making you seem more awake.
The summer face look
Apply your sunscreen. Rigorously and always throughout the day. Apply a primer and a tinted moisturiser. If you need more coverage, then grab a concealer and use it only on the areas where you need it. That’s typically undereyes, where there are acne scars, and in places where there is discolouration and hyperpigmentation.
If you know your face becomes really oily in summer, then you can just skip highlighter, and focus more on that setting powder instead. Use a dewy tinted moisturizer if your skin is dry.
When it comes to blush, it depends. If your face is oily, use a powder, and if it’s dry, use a dewy cheek tint. Apply that on your cheeks and just slightly on your nose too.

The summer lip look
Here you are spoiled for choice. You can choose between tinted lip oils, tinted lip balms or those classic lip glosses. Choose a shade you know you love and swipe that on your lips.

This is the ultimate 5-minute summer makeup look for me. It combines a whole series of trends but it leaves enough room for choice and it can be “customised” according to one’s skin type. Remember to set it with a setting spray so that it stays still even in the heat!
