This is a very beautiful characteristic that too often, unfortunately, is not given its worth. It gives the figure a bit more proportion and balance, whatever the height. Here, you’ll learn how to carry it with majesty. Some examples of a high baryentre (short torso and longer legs) are Alexa Chung and Caroline Vreeland.
Here it will depend on how short the torso is compared to your legs, because if it’s not that high (a 3-5cm difference) you can use the tips for a low barycentre and highlight your legs (your strength). If it’s considerably shorter than your legs and you can see the difference, you will want to just rebalance it. In this case you might need to lower it as well, stealing some centimetres from your legs and giving them to your torso.
Dresses
A general rule of thumb here is to place the waist point a bit lower than it really is, which is why your dresses should be like this. 20’s style dresses work very well, but go for dresses that have pockets on the sides, frills, a change of colour below the waist.

Tops
If you want to elongate the torso, try to focus more on your vertical lines (buttons, V-necks…). Go for long jackets, blazers, shirts kept out of trousers, long tops in general.

Bottoms
Here you practically have maximum freedom: Capris, shorts, skinny fits… you get it. If you like wider fits, better of you wear them with your shirt tucked out or with a top of the same colour: remember your vertical lines? Same goes for skirts as well: you can wear practically anything. You might want to try asymmetrical cuts as well, as they work very nicely as well. When it comes to the waist, go medium or low (the choice is up to you)

Footwear
You already have an incorporated heel, so you can go for anything here as well since you can choose between flat shoes and high heels. Here, choose what you like and what you know works best. You can go for any colour since you don’t need to lengthen the leg. For your socks and tights, you can choose any style you want as well.

Accessories
Here it’s better if you wear your bags across your torso, with a long buckle or chain. You will want to keep your scarves untied to give a bit more verticality to your torso. You will want to keep your belts thin and tied softly, and if you like, you can also cut them out.

As I said in the last post, go for what you know works for you, and take this as guidance only.
