Seasonal colour analysis and nature

I have talked so much about seasonal colour analysis, yet this time, I will give it a more artistic turn. With this post, I want to introduce you to the link between seasonal colour analysis and nature.

Now. You know that the same landscape changes its colours a lot with each season. For this reason, we can say that when it comes to making colours harmonise with one another, nature is a great teacher. You can learn from it when it comes to matching colours with one another. The colours in each season have determined aspects of colour, and these aspects of colour can then be applied to suit your complexion, too. The picture below allows you to see the connection between seasonal colour analysis and nature pretty well: the greens below are found in their respective seasons.

Spring colour analysis and nature

Spring is the season of rebirth, awakening, newfound warmth. The landscapes, and thus the Spring colour palettes, have a lot of light, warm and bright colours. They have lots of yellows, red, bright blues and pinks, oranges, shiny purples, intense greens. The symbol of Spring is most often a tulip field, yet can also associate Spring colours with tropical animals as well, most often parrots.

The signature colour for the Spring season is coral, which is an orangey kind of pink/red.

Summer colour analysis and nature

Summer reminds me of lemonade, the sea, and ice cream. To fight the warm weather if this season, we try to look for things like these, which cool us down. Their cool, light and soft colours are an escape from the heat, and people who are Summers have these characteristics in their complexion.

Typical summer colours are greys: people who cannot wear grey are not Summers.

Autumn colour analysis and nature

Autumn or fall (however you call it) is the season between the summer heat and the freezing winter. It carries the softness of the summer and the depth of winter, but its colours are nice and warm. Its symbols are forests with the floors covered in fallen leaves, but also pumpkins. You can also find those rich and warm colours in a sunset landscape as well.

Autumns have a tough time with blues, yet teals work incredibly well with their complexion. Their signature colour is brown.

Winter colour analysis and nature

It’s my favourite season because of the freezing temperatures and its extremely deep and saturated colours. The classic symbols of winter are the Northern Lights, frosty vegetation, and the night skies.

The colour that only Winter people can carry is black: who is not a Winter might enjoy wearing black, but their skin doesn’t respond very well to it.
